Ash Narker – Achieving Goals

In Tournaments by aaron

Congratulations to Ashlee Narker for her performance over the last holidays. Ash barely lost a match, winning two tournaments in a row (Blacktown and Northern Suburbs), as well as improving her doubles skills greatly.

(Above: Ash stands nearly a head shorter than her opponent, Eva)

At the start of the year she set herself two goals. 1) Become a stronger competitor on court by focusing more on each point as it comes, and thinking about how to beat the opponent and worrying less about how she was feeling. 2) Win a 12&U Gold tournament.

She achieved both her goals and will now try to move on to bigger and better things. There is still a lot of work to be done, and the other girls she is playing against are all fantastic, so it will be tough. But at KWTA we are proud of her, and her willingness to address her weaknesses and turn them into strengths.
