Success in the Winter Holidays

In Student News, Tournaments by aaron

There were a LOT of events held over the Winter break. So many that my “holiday” was managing a Sydney team in the state under 16s championships. But the good news is that there were quite a few promising results.

Metro Slammers

The Metro Slammers were the inaugural champions. In the end it came down to the mixed doubles where we won both. I would love to say that it was all down to my tactical genius but to be honest I really did have the best team and if they had lost it would definitely had been my fault.

In other news Sean Wang managed to win the 12s Hills Winter Junior Open (above) as well as Tyrese San Diego who won the 16s. We also had good results in the 14s with Lia Woods winning the girls consolation and Michael Zhang winning the boys consolation. Both played excellently.

At the Hawkesbury Junior Ashlee Narker won the 14s girls which is not a bad effort for a 10 year old. She is really starting to find some great form.

If I am missing any other results please let me know and I’ll edit this post as there was so much going on that I’m not sure if I’ve gotten everything.

All in all a great result for the KWTA team!
